The Swiss franc was little changed against the dollar on Monday as concerns about the health of the US economy were stoked by a record US trade deficit and oil prices setting new highs above $46.
The dollar traded at 1.2405/10 francs, unchanged from levels around 1.2405/10 late in Europe on Friday, while the euro changed hands at 1.5331/35 francs from 1.5325/31 on Friday.
The dollar had fallen against the franc on Friday after the news of a record US trade gap in June cast doubts on the US economy's ability to draw foreign capital to fund the growing deficit.
Commerce Department data had showed the deficit widened to a record $55.8 billion in June, defying expectations for a slight widening to $47.billion as exports dropped and imports rose.
