Punjab Agriculture Department in its anti adulteration campaign has got registered 21 cases against pesticide and fertiliser adulterators during last month in the province.
Nine of them were against pesticide dealers while remaining of fertilisers, a spokesman of the department said on Wednesday. The cases were registered after the testing laboratories declared samples of the products unfit.
According to the district-wise details, four fertiliser cases were registered in Pakpattan, four in Sheikhupura, three in Kasur and one in Bahawalnagar.
Two pesticides cases were registered in Bahawalnagar while one each in Pakpattan, Rawalpindi, Rajanpur, Faisalabad, Vehari, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh districts.
The department is intensifying its anti-adulteration campaign and seeking co-operation from the growers in this regard.
