KAC moot in Chicago on September 5

The Kashmiri American Council (KAC) will hold its annual general body meeting on the theme of "Kashmir- A way forward" on September 5, in Chicago.
Executive Director of the Council, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, stated this in an announcement on Tuesday.
The KAC meeting will be held during Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) annual convention at Donald E. Stephens Convention Centre, while Mohammad Sarwar, Member, British House of Commons will be the chief guest.
Meanwhile, Dr Fai said the KAC would be holding a fund raisers for Congressman Joseph Pitts in Brooklyn, New York, on August 30 during the Republican National Convention and for Congressman Dan Burton during Kashmir General Body meeting in Chicago at Hyatt Hotel, on September 4.
"The two Congressmen are twin pillars of Kashmiri strength and need our support, and have earned our indebtedness. The people of Kashmir would appreciate our assistance to them to boost the cause internationally," he stated.
"They are both persuasive and firm voices for the aspirations of the Kashmiri people," Dr Fai said.
The Kashmiri leader recalled that Congressman Pitts sponsored last year's "sparkling Kashmir conference, and is proud again to sponsor this year's conference."
Congressman Pitts founded the Kashmir Forum in the United States Congress; "has visited both sides of the cease-fire line to witness the grievous suffering of Kashmiris, and speaks on their behalf in multiple fora."
