Sessi officials urged to facilitate secured workers

The Sindh Employees Social Security Institutions (Sessi) Commissioner Gul Muhammad Rind has urged the social security officers to serve the cause of secured workers with dedication.
He was addressing the closing session of a workshop on "Communication Skills" organised by the Training Institute of Sessi here Friday.
He pointed out, the social security officers could play vital role in achieving the targets set by the Sessi as they were a bridge between administration and employees. He emphasised the need for increased coverage of workers under Sessi.
He told the workshop participants that communication skills should be used to peruse the concerned persons about Sessi benefits of the scheme.
He advised them to be courteous in their behaviour and observe punctuality and discipline.
Talking about the need of training, he directed that increasing number of programmes should be organised for Sessi employees as studies had proved that training helped in bringing behavioural change.
Moreover, he continued, one should remain well informed about modern techniques in their professions.
Earlier, Director Training, Fatema Hassan said the workshop was especially designed with focus on better communication and effective co-ordination among the three partners of the scheme ie government, employers and the workers.
She said that such programmes had not only been contributing towards capacity building but also towards continuity of the institution's policies.
The concluding session was attended by Directors and Senior Medical Officers of Sessi.
