Eight IJT students injured in attacks

Unidentified armed persons attacked activists of Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) at various colleges in the city including Government Gulshan Degree Science and Commerce College, Homeopathic Medical College Nazimabad and Government Jinnah College here on Saturday injuring eight seriously besides kidnapping three.
Armed men surrounded Government Jinnah College Karachi and resorted to straight firing on IJT students with automatic weapons. Resultantly, one Umair, an IJT activist sustained bullet injury in his abdomen. He was immediately taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Doctors at JPMC confirmed that one Umair was brought at emergency ward with bullet injury but he was in stable condition.
IJT alleged that attackers belonging to All Pakistan Mohajir Student Organisation (APMSO) who were about 16 in number including Hasan, Noman, Nadim and others, stormed at the Gulshan College at noon.
The attackers, who were on motorbike CG125, and three white colours Cultus, Mehran and Margala vehicles, abducted IJT activists Muhammad Afaq of second year, Umair and Idrees, both first year students to Aligarh Institute of Technology, NIPA and subjected them to worst kind of torture.
After torturing them, APMSO activists threw these IJT activists in precarious condition near NIPA Chowrangi, from where passersby shifted them to JPMC.
Armed APMSO activists also attacked activists of IJT at Homeopathic Medical College Nazimabad in which Janan Khan, Minhaj, Farhad, Noman and others injured seriously.
