Rainy Ashour of Egypt knocked out Pakistan's Yasir Butt in straight games to clinch the individual title of the World Junior Squash Championship here on Sunday.
Prime Minister, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, was guest of honour at the final. He announced a grant of Rs 0 3 million for PSF and lauded its efforts for the promotion of game.
Egyptian Rainy Ashour, 17, was allowed by lanky Yasir Butt to make best use of his strong points in a 9-5, 10-8, 9-3 victory in 46 minutes.
"I didn't play my natural game today." said the 16-year old Lahore-based Yasir Butt, the Under-17 British Open Junior champion.
The team event gets underway on Monday with Pakistan set to defend its title.
