International Public Relations Association (Ipra)-Pakistan would award Public Relations (PR)-Crown to the outstanding performers in the media industry by the end of this year.
This was stated by the President, Ipra-Pakistan, Khalid Rashid Shahbaz while talking to APP here on Sunday.
Elaborating the schedule of the awards he said that the personalities rendering excellent services in the field of public relations and its allied projects such as advertising, electronic and print media would be given awards, including "PR brown."
The schedule for the ceremony would be shortly announced and the selection committee in this regard would be constituted, he remarked.
Shahbaz said that Ipra has already announced international award for S.H. Hashmi in recognition of his excellent services in the field of advertising and public relations in Pakistan.
Many other awards would also be presented to those public relations men whose credentials are well recognised, whether they belong to any PR society in Pakistan or elsewhere, he added.
He said this professional body, which has its branches in other countries, have also been asked to recommend the names of those who are really deserving for such an award.
Shahbaz said that the Ipra's representative in OSLO (Norway), Riaz Gondal has been asked to arrange an international seminar on public relations so that the image of the organisation at the international level may be built.
President Ipra said that all concerned ministries particularly Information Ministry and Advertising Association including print and electronic media would be consulted for holding the grand ceremony here in the federal capital by the end of this year.
