Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has urged the masses to co-operate with the government in its efforts to foil the nefarious designs of terrorists.
"The government agencies are doing excellent work and the public support can give a further boost to it," the minister told PTV.
He urged the people to keep a close watch on the activities of strangers in their localities.
They should be careful while renting out their houses to newcomers, the minister said, adding, they should immediately inform the authorities if they feel something suspicious in the activities of strangers in their environment.
To a question he said there is no law and order situation in the country. "However, there are few elements, who want to tarnish the country's image abroad by creating instability," he added.
"These people have neither succeeded in their designs in the past nor they will be in the future," the minister said. He said in the recent past, the intelligence agencies have arrested some very important figures, while four or five of them are still at large. He hoped the remaining people would be taken into account very soon.
