Four people died when a wall fell on them in village Waliya (Basira) some 50 km west of Multan on Monday.
Abdul Majid (30), Muhammad Sharif (25), Mukhtar Ahmed (18) and Muhammad Yamin were demolishing a part of boundary wall of their home. All of sudden, entire wall fell on them, resultantly three persons Abdul Majid, Muhammad Yamin and Mukhtar Ahmed died on the spot and Muhammad Sharif was taken to Rural Health Centre Basira but staff was absent from duty. Due to non-availability of concerned staff, he died in Rural Health Centre, Basira.
EDO (Health) Dr Mushtaq Ahmed has ordered an inquiry into the absence of medical staff from duty, which caused a death of a patient. DPO Muzaffargarh Ahsan Mehboob also reached at site and said that it was an accident.
