The new Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz should immediately announce a relief package after assuming his office to provide relief to the people hard hit by price hike and unemployment.
Member National Assembly (MNA) and a Pakistan Muslim League (PML) central leader Muhammad Pervaiz Malik expressed these views in a statement here Monday.
He said Shaukat Aziz should also announce reforms in industrial and business entrepreneurs, revival of sick units along with macro development schemes and construction of new dams. Shaukat must also announce cut in utility bills, abolish mark-up on small House Building Finance Corporation and agricultural loans.
According to him, no economic progress was possible without political harmony and peace on the land; and the economic progress did not mean anything if the fruits of progress did not reach common man.
