Another package for Balochistan being prepared

The present government has been preparing another development package for Balochistan. This was stated by Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry and Production Senator Akram Wali Muhammad.
He was talking to a delegation of nazims and naib nazims from Balochistan, a statement said here on Monday.
Akram Wali Muhammad informed them that the present government was taking special interest in the development works in Balochistan.
He said the people of Balochistan were being given their due rights.
The Senator dispelled the impression created by certain elements that the people of Balochistan were not being given their rights.
He stated that at the federal and provincial level the people of Balochistan were being given their due quota in jobs.
Senator Akram pointed out that like other provinces the nazims and naib nazims of Balochistan were being provided funds for their development works.
He said that President General Pervez Musharraf and the leadership of PML had started mega projects for the people of Balochistan.
Senator Akram further stated that cantonments were being built in Balochistan for the protection of people. This would ensure external and internal protection and would also speed up the pace of development in the province.
He said that more development was visible in Balochistan during the present era as compared to any other government in the past.
Senator Akram said that the PML did not believe in `exploitative politics' and preferred to resolve the problems through dialogue and consultation.
He stated that the nomination of Shaukat Aziz as Prime Minister augur well for the smaller provinces.
Senator Akram asked the nazims and naib nazims to give details of their development schemes so that those could be executed through the current development fund.
