KESC's load-shedding

24 Aug, 2004

Last evening on Wednesday (August 11, 2004), electricity from Guru-mandir to the entire Soldier Bazar suffered a break down from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm.
I was surprised by the electricity failure for 5 hours. Everyone was forced to sit at home due to the darkness.
How can you expect school/college going students to do their home work without electricity? No load-shedding notice was given before the electricity failure.
I would like to question the concerned authorities of the KESC dept responsible for this mistake, why do we, the consumers, suffer for nothing? Did the KESC Dept give notice of such a failure.
The KESC has no mercy for the general public, how can they stay without electricity or they do not fear the Day of Judgement
Those subscribers who are regularly paying theirs bill why do they have to suffer? Please adopt positive measure to avoid such load-shedding in the future, if due to any problems, the KESC Dept desires load shading due to any reason best known to them, then they should first inform the specified area/localities where the load-shedding is to occur through the help of media (TV ads) and advertisements in newspapers, so that the consumers/users have information regarding the load-shedding.
In short, every persons (men, women including children) entire schedule suffered due to no electricity.
