Pakistan Peoples Party (Shaheed Bhutto Group) Chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto has said that even after passage of 57 years people of the country stood deprived of basic amenities of health care, education, employment and potable water.
She said this while addressing a corner meeting in the Haidri Mohallah Larkana city, late Monday night.
She said, 70 percent of country's resources were being spent on army, but despite this the country was facing dangers from outside. No confidence was found between the people and the army, which was nothing but a national tragedy.
She added that Pakistani people had turned into an occupied nation and lawlessness, terrorist acts, kidnapping, loot and robbery, unemployment and soaring prices of commodities of daily use had made the life of the masses miserable.
Ghinwa Bhutto said that Hudood Ordinance as un-Islamic gifted by General Zia-ul-Haq, which was a tool to do excesses with the women. She demanded to abolish this unlawful and un-Islamic Ordinance. She called upon the people to launch struggle by uniting themselves for their usurped rights.
