Necessary arrangements are being given final shape for the construction of a modern hockey stadium costing more than Rs 70 million in Sialkot.
Official sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday that hockey stadium would have all modern facilities both for players and spectators.
The hockey ground was being prepared and processed for laying of Astroturf in the hockey stadium, said the sources, adding the federal government had provided Rs 10 million while the Punjab government shared Rs 35 million for the laying of austro-turf in the hockey stadium.
The completion of this hockey stadium would provide modern facilities to the hockey players as well as help tracing out the talented players in Sialkot district and its adjoining areas, sources added.
