House of Commons member calls on Faisal

Member of the United Kingdom's House of Commons Khalid Mehmood called on Interior Minister Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat in his office here on Tuesday.
During the meeting a wide range of issues of mutual interest were discussed. The visiting parliamentarian briefed the minister about the problems faced by Pakistani community settled in England especially regarding issuance of new identity cards and passports.
The minister assured that with the opening of Nadra's office in UK this problem would be resolved. "We are committed to facilitate our overseas nationals and we are making all-out efforts in this regard," Faisal added.
The visiting parliamentarian appreciated the approach of the Pakistani government in tackling the menace of drugs and the achievements of Pakistan as an active and leading member of coalition against war on terrorism.
He assured the minister for support to the cause and interest of Pakistan in the House of Commons. He also pledged to facilitate Pakistani community staying in UK.
Faisal thanked Khalid Mehmood and hoped that bilateral relations of England and Pakistan will be further strengthened by efforts and support of the Pakistani community in UK.
