26 Aug, 2004

Lawyers of Multan have vehemently condemned the desecration of the shrine of Hazrat Ali (AS) and bombing of the sacred city of Najaf (Iraq) by so-called allied forces and killing of innocent people.
Addressing a protest meeting in Bar Room, Waseem Mumtaz (President), Naveed Ahmed, Habib-ullah Shakir, Salim Lodhi, Riaz Latifi, Irfan Shamsi, Faheem Mumtaz, Wali Muhammad Sabir, Sajid Aizdi and Yousaf Zubair said that Pakistan government should take a resolution in UNO against United States and United Kingdom for the sacrilegious act of allied forces and destroying and damaging the shrines of Muslim leaders like Hazrat Ali.
They said that the biggest countries should come forward for restoration of peace and tranquillity in Iraq and Afghanistan and to get rid of US aggression, otherwise it would occupy all the smaller states and their resources.
They said that USA was playing a game of occupying the oil resources of Arab countries and the gulf.
They urged the Muslim Ummah to forge unity in its ranks to meet the situation.
