The Oxford Nationwide Book Festival will be held in some 23 cities in the country from September 1 to 30. This was announced by Ms Zehra Nasim of the Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan here on Thursday.
She said that a wide range of discount would be offered on textbooks, locally published and imported books as well as the dictionaries.
It was stated that the festival would be held at the OUP bookshops in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Peshawar.
Arrangements have also been made for holding the same in Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana in the interior Sindh as well as some other cities in the country.
A large number of bargain books would be put on display with a discount up to 60 percent, it was further pointed out.
The discount on the locally published books would be up to 20 percent while it would be between 15 to 17 percent on imported books. On the dictionaries, the discount would be 20 percent.
