Burns unit at Allied Hospital promised

Provincial Minister for Health Dr Tahir Ali Javed has said that Punjab Government was taking far reaching steps for to promote Health sector and to provide the most modern treatment facilities to the people and had promised to set up a burn unit in Faisalabad very soon.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting of the Punjab Medical College/ Allied Hospital Board of Management (PMCAH BoM) in the committee room of the hospital.
EDO Health Dr Umar Farooq Khan, Principal Staff Officer Mian Kamal-ud-Din, Principal Punjab Medical College Dr A G Rehan, Medical Superintendent Allied Hospital Dr Rana Bashir Ahmad, Medical Superintendent District Headquarters Hospital Dr lmtiaz Ahmad, members Board of Management and other doctors also participated in the meeting.
Provincial minister informed the meeting that for diagnosing the complicated cases Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and scanning machine would be provided in the Allied Hospital after installation of which the people of that area would be able to utilise most modern treatment facilities in this hospital.
He directed the medical superintendent Allied Hospital that all doctors and para medical staff should be made duty bound to use gloves while taking or transfusing blood, injecting the patients, conducting the operations and strictly adhere to the hygienic principles.
The provincial minister also unveiled the plaque of the project to complete renovation of Ayesha Ward, Extension of Emergency Ward and recently constructed waiting room, which had been completed with a total expenditure of Rs 2 million.
