A 'Cultural Club' would be established in the building formerly used as Cosmopolitan Club in Bagh-e-Jinnah to promote cultural activities in the city.
This was decided in a high-level meeting with Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Rasool in the chair here on Thursday.
Among others who attended the meeting included Provincial Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Chairman, Provincial Finance and Information and Culture Secretaries.
The meeting was informed that the former Cosmopolitan Club was occupying six acres of land in Bagh-e-Jinnah, which has now been retrieved. Only the tennis courts would be saved and maintained, while the remaining land would be developed as part of Bagh-e-Jinnah allowing the general public full access to it.
