Sindh Inter-Provincial Co-ordination Minister Dr Sohrab Khan Sarki has notified that Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim would soon visit 25 under-construction police check-posts and three police stations at Sindh-Balochistan border, and review the law and order situation.
Talking to a delegation at his residence after a six-day interior Sindh visit, the minister said following the directives of Sindh chief minister, he convened meetings with senior police officers to review the law & order situation in Jacobabad and issued directives accordingly.
He also said at least 1,300 locals would be recruited as cops to be deployed at the aforementioned police check-posts and police stations, while a 110-km-long link road would also be constructed that would help in controlling border crimes.
He said development schemes throughout the country had been kicked off and policies of President Musharraf were playing an effective role in this regard.
The minister said the provincial government was taking all measures for the welfare of people, saying a Micro Credit Bank had been set up to eliminate unemployment from the country that would provide youth small scale loans for businesses.
