Miscreants wiped out from Wana and Shakai: ISPR

The security forces have wiped out the hideouts of miscreants from Wana, Shakai and surrounding areas, DG ISPR Major General Shaukat Sultan said on Sunday.
Talking to a private TV channel, the Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, miscreants indulged in the subversive activities would be dealt with sternly.
The security forces and political administration were ensuring that in the next few weeks the whole area is purged from foreign miscreants, Shaukat said. The security forces were trying to arrange surrender of miscreants through political process, he added.
To a question the general said, on Saturday night, some miscreants fired rockets at the camps of security forces. One jawan was killed, while the injured were being provided necessary medical aid.
It was being probed that from where the rockets were fired. "Appropriate action against miscreants will be taken to thwart recurrence of such type of anti-state activities," he added.
