Please refer to the news item published in your respected daily on August 25, 2004 wherein it was reported that the National Assembly was informed that the carmakers have agreed to bring down prices of cars.
I was surprised to see the anxiety of the members of Parliament over the increase in prices of Toyota cars, which the members reportedly observed was causing grave concern amongst the public. I think instead of 'prices of Toyota' it is the 'price of Atta' that is actually causing great concern to the common people of this country.
The members should in fact have raised this issue on the parliament floor. As regard the prices of Toyota, that is not the problem of public, rather it is a matter for elite of this country.
I would request the Members of the Parliament to discuss the real issues of common man forming 98% population of the country.
