Over 20 ministers of state to take oath on September 4

More than 20 ministers of state will take oath of office at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Saturday, official sources told Business Recorder here on Friday.
President General Pervez Musharraf will administered the oath of office. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, federal ministers and senior officials would attend the ceremony.
The sources said that the new ministers of state are mostly young and highly educated parliamentarians like Omar Gohar Ayub Khan and Asjid Malhi who have the experience of working as parliamentary secretaries of various ministries.
Some of these young parliamentarians who were elected for the first time owing to failure of their elders to fulfill graduation condition, met Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Thursday.
The sources said that the main objective of induction of these educated young parliamentarians in the federal cabinet was to groom and train the new generation of political leadership who have the zeal, commitment and necessary intellectual capabilities with modern education to make a difference.
Thirty-two federal ministers who took oath of office on Wednesday had already been allocated their portfolios.
Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has advised the federal ministers and ministers of state of his party who come from rich families not to be a burden on the national exchequer and bear their expenses from their own pockets.
