The Royal Kingdom of Denmark has upgraded its embassy in Islamabad from Charge d'Affaires level to Ambassadorial level from September 1, a foreign office spokesman said on Saturday.
The Denmark government has taken the decision in view of the close and friendly ties with Pakistan.
The spokesman said the up-gradation of the Denmark Embassy to Ambassadorial level is a manifestation of the importance that Denmark attaches to Pakistan and the cordial relations that exist between the two countries.
