Hundreds of employees and officers of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) held a protest demonstration here on Sunday against what they called 'illegal occupation' by outlaws of 901 acres of land owned by National Bank Officers Housing Society in Mouza Kashmir, adjacent to Defence Housing Society.
The protestors were carrying banners and placards bearing the slogans against illegal occupants of the land.
They demanded of the Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and District Nazim, Mian Aamir Mahmood to intervene and take steps to evacuate land which is worth of billions of rupees.
Addressing the protestors Moulvi Muhammad Muneer and Chaudhry Muhammad Qasim said the if the authorities failed to provide justice to them, the National Bank employees would extend their protest to all over the country and stage hunger strike out side the National and Provincial Assemblies.
