Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao has said it is a wrong impression that authorities are close to take hold of Osama bin Laden following the arrest of some important al Qaeda elements.
"Many local and foreign al Qaeda suspects have been arrested, but it would be premature to conclude that the authorities had approached close to Osama Bin Laden," the minister told Voice of America.
He said improving the law and order situation and elimination of terrorism are among the top priorities of the government of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
In this regard, the prime minister would call a meeting of all the four chief ministers soon to brief them how to improve law and order situation and eliminate terrorism from the country, Sherpao added.
