Decorvet takes over as head of Nestle

In a routine change of market heads at Nestlé Milkpak Ltd, Roland Decorvet has taken over from Friedrich G. Mahler on September 1, 2004. Mahler has proceeded to take over his new assignment in Central West Africa.
Decorvet, a Swiss national, joined Nestlé in 1991 after graduating in business from Lausanne University and later graduated from MD Business School in Lausanne in 2000.
Decorvet brings with him a rich experience of business management in the Asian region. Before coming to Pakistan, he remained the general manager at Nestlé Taiwan for two years.
Prior to that he was in China for 10 years where he was part of the team that undertook the important and pioneering work of setting up Nestlé business from scratch and of consolidating it.
Decorvet sees a great potential in the food processing sector in Pakistan. He aims at accelerating business growth with focus on providing the highest quality products to consumers at affordable prices, increase product portfolio and improve profitability of the company through innovation and renovation.
Decorvet regards corporate social responsibility as an integral part of the company's operations.
He, therefore, not only plans to enhance the company's contribution to the rural economy through a more effective milk collection system, which is the hallmark of the company, but also steer the company into playing a greater role as good corporate citizen.-PR
