135 computer labs set up in Fata: Iftikhar

The NWFP Governor Lieutenant General Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah (Retd) has said full competence in the Information Technology is a must to achieve modern education, therefore, he added the present government had properly focused computer literacy based education in Fata and had established as many as 135 computer laboratories in the educational institutions throughout Fata.
He was addressing a certificate distribution ceremony held at Orakzai Computer Institute for award of international standard certificates to the students on completion of training course.
The Vice Chancellor of Peshawar University Lieutenant General Mumtaz Gul (Retd), Secretary to Governor Sahibzada Saeed Ahmad and tribal elders and students also attended the ceremony.
Under the training of the trainers programme, 20 students of the institute were imparted training in the Microsoft Office which lasted for one month.
These students would now work as trainers to disseminate the knowledge and competence they have gained during the course to other students of Orakzai Agency.
These trainers were awarded certificates issued from the INFORMATICS Singapore which the governor distributed amongst the students.
