Prime Minister urges Islamic countries to focus on scientific education

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has called upon Islamic countries to focus on scientific education and research to keep pace with the other nations of the world.
He was talking to the Ministers of Higher Education, Science and Technology from OIC countries who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
He said there is need to bridge knowledge gap between Muslim Ummah and the rest of the world and can achieve this by collective efforts.
The Prime Minister says we should focus on research broaden our industrial base and must increase investment in the field of science and technology.
He said Pakistan has substantially increased the budget for higher education to promote research based scientific education. He remarked that there is no dearth of talent in the Islamic world.
He said we should share the experiences and work jointly for the development and prosperity of Muslim World.
