Federal government has formulated a strategy for providing export information to small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) of the country.
Official sources told Business Recorder here on Thursday that under the programme, Export Promotion Bureau of Pakistan (EPB) would soon initiate "Export Information Access Facilitation" project for extending facilities of internet-connectivity, computer and printers to SMEs of the country.
This programme would be undertaken through business support centres based in industrial and commercial cities, like Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur (Azad Kashmir), Gujranwala, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta and internet cafes to provide access to business enterprises to browse commercial intelligence or data on the world-wide web.
Under the programme, access to such export information would also be provided in user-friendly manner for foreign customers at five star hotels, sources added.
