Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday dismissed a petition filed by a member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) challenging the Punjab Development Fund scheme, as the petitioner is not aggrieved person.
The petitioner contended that the respondent government initiated this scheme illegally and unconstitutionally.
He contended that under Punjab Bank Act 1989, it was not competent to sell tickets of the scheme. He prayed to the court to direct the respondent to stop the scheme in question immediately.
The court, after hearing the petitioner M.D. Tahir at length, dismissed the petition in limine being not maintainable.
