11 Sep, 2004

Traffic police Islamabad has decided to launch a special public motivation drive in the Capital from Saturday to aware people about traffic disciplines.
The traffic police has planned to hold camps at all the squares, avenues and important places of Islamabad where pamphlets and material would be distributed for educating the drivers to respect traffic signals and follow the rules to avoid road accidents. The traffic police high officials will also deliver lectures in schools and colleges to inculcate awareness among students.
The campaign is being launched on the directives of new Additional SP Islamabad who is also holding additional charge of SP traffic.
Checking will also be carried out during the drive and vehicles found involved in overspending and violating the traffic signals would be penalised.
The SP traffic also made an appeal to the public to make the campaign a success by respecting traffic rules while driving.
