Scholars, writers urged to compile more books on Quaid's life

Senior Vice President Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and former Chief Minister Punjab, Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, has urged the scholars and writers to compile more books on Quaid-i-Azam highlighting different dimensions of his life.
He was addressing a seminar organised by PML on the eve of 56th death anniversary of father of the nation here on Saturday.
The seminar was also addressed by Senator Mushahid Hussain, Senator Tanveer Khalid, Senator Mohammad Ali Durani, State Minister For Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Faqeer Hussain Bokhari, President labour Wing PML, Frah Khan, Iqbal Dar Additional Secretary General Pakistan Muslim league, Sardar Mohammad Yousaf, Inayatullah Karar, President MSF and Akram Gul Masih MNA.
Manzoor Wattoo said Quaid-e-Azam was a great leader and his contribution for the nation was much more than any other leader of sub-continent likes Ghandi.
He said that the literature on the life of Quaid was less as compared to his services and achievements and urged the scholars to write more books on him.
"The best way to pay rich tribute to our leader is to follow his golden principles" he added.
He further said that unity was essential for a strong Pakistan and praised the leaders of various fictions of PML for uniting on one platform.
"Strong Pakistan and strong Muslim league was dream of our Quaid", Wattoo said.
He said now Muslim league must formulate policies to eradicate unemployment, lawlessness and extremism from the country.
Wattoo said that the culture of forgiveness be cultivated to strengthening democracy.
Highlighting the policies of President Pervez Musharraf he said their government support these policies for restoration of real democracy in the country.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, said that it was the Quaid-e-Azam, who secured freedom from imperial forces now it is the our duty to protect it.
He further said the God gifted qualities of our Quaid awakened the people of sub-continent.
Mohammad Ali Durani said that it was the duty of government to ensure the basic rights to each community living here.
Addressing the seminar Iqbal Dar said Quaid-e-Azam was the sole visionary leader, who not only succeeded in achieving freedom but also gave us a separate homeland.
"Pakistan is created in the name of Islam and there must be denomination of Islamic values and norms" he added.
