The National Commission of Human Development of Pakistan (NCHD) has decided to start a fund collecting drive in different parts of Europe and the USA to reduce poverty and unemployment in Pakistan and in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The NCHDP chairman, Dr Naseem Ashraf, has disclosed this while talking to the head of Pak-Europe Friendship Forum and famous Kashmiri leader Ali Raza Syed here on Sunday. Dr Naseem Ashraf said that the first phase of the funds collecting drive would start from Los Angeles on September 18, on September 19 in California, and then on October 13 in London.
"We have appealed to the Pakistanis and Kashmiris, who are living in Europe and America, to fully participate in these campaigns so that these would be made successful, he added.
While disclosing the performance of National Commission of Human Development Dr Naseem Ashraf has said that the commission had played a commending role for the reduction of poverty and unemployment in different areas of Pakistan for the last few years.
In order to provide better health care facilities to the people, the commission had established 1,000 health care centres in the remote and rural areas of the country, he said.
He said that the main objective of the fund collecting drive was to establish more health centres, especially in different areas of the NWFP and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmiri leader Ali Raza Syed has also appealed to the Pakistani and Kashmiri community living in Europe and the USA to fully contribute in fund collecting drive so that poverty and unemployment would be eliminated in Pakistan.
