Piaf-Founders Alliance unveiled its election manifesto on Sunday, which covered the fields of trade and industry, their problems, solutions and plan for implementation and execution of the same.
According to the manifesto, which has been named 'Vision 2005,' the alliance, if voted to power, will prepare a comprehensive strategy from the platform of LCCI aimed at reducing the cost of production in the industrial sector.
Under the plan, the proposals will be submitted to the government regarding fixation of tariffs of gas, electricity, petroleum products and determining the rate of various custom duties, meant for reducing the cost of production of the industrial sector.
Other key features of the manifesto are that the alliance will concentrate to resolve the problems of the trade and industry regarding income tax and sales tax.
The alliance will convince the government for increasing the income tax exemption limit up to Rs 200,000, to curtail the power of tax authorities besides conducting the audit of tax returns in presence of the representatives of the chamber and trade associations.
