Indian occupation troops shot dead four suspected freedom fighters in revolt-racked Indian occupied Kashmir while freedom fighters killed an occupation soldier and a civilian in separate shootings, police said on Tuesday.
Three freedom fighters died in a clash on Tuesday with occupation soldiers in the Bandipora area of northern Baramulla district, a police spokesman said, adding the clash began when occupation troops cordoned off an area following a tip-off.
He said another freedom fighter was shot dead in a clash in Sogam village in northern Kupwara district. "Two occupation soldiers were injured during the fighting," he said. Separately, an occupation soldier was killed in an ambush by freedom fighters in southern Kathua district overnight while suspected freedom fighters shot dead a civilian in southern Doda district, police said, adding the motive was unknown.
