Shanghai copper down

Most Shanghai coppers futures edged down on Wednesday to track an overnight fall on the London Metal Exchange, traders said. Shanghai's most active contract, December, fell 120 yuan to 26,040 yuan ($3,146) a tonne, while most other contracts closed down between 30 yuan and 120 yuan.
Spot copper in Shanghai moved in a range of 28,950-29,000 yuan on Wednesday, almost unchanged from Tuesday. Most Shanghai aluminium contracts inched down 20 yuan to 80 yuan a tonne on Wednesday, tracking local copper.
Volume fell to 54,236 lots from heavy 100,884 lots on Tuesday. LME aluminium was at $1,699/$1,702 on Wednesday's Asian trade against $1,701 in London on Tuesday.
