Rs 90 million plan for industrial workers welfare on the anvil

The Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis has initiated a Rs 90 million comprehensive plan for the social welfare of industrial workers of the country.
Official sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that under the plan, several projects pertaining to industrial workers, would be accomplished while computer training centres for industrial workers would be set up at Sailkot and Gujranwala shortly.
The programme aimed at providing training facilities to the industrial workers and their kids in the field of computer technology.
Keeping in view the importance and wide range export activities of Sailboat and Gujranwala, the sources revealed that the government had decided to export multi-skilled labourers to Europe, Malaysia and the Middle Eastern countries.
For this purpose, the government would also import experts to impart training to the industrial workers in various trades, the sources added.
