Pakistan Telecom Employees Union has rejected the offer of PTCL management for acceptance of their three demands ie 15 percent increase in salaries, allocation of quota of employment for the children of PTCL employees and deceased employees and demanded acceptance of relief package 2004 in toto.
A spokesman of PTCL (CBA) Union, Saifuddin, said here on Friday that their protest would continue till the acceptance of their demands and they would jam the communication system on October 1 if their demands were not met.
He said that PTCL management was planning to end the special allowance for the employees, as a result, their salaries would be cut by 20 to 30 percent.
"We hoisted black flags atop exchanges on September 14, and wore black armbands on September 16. In the third phase, a protest meeting and demo would be held in Bahawalpur on September 18."
