19 Sep, 2004

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Sikander Hayat Khan has urged the overseas Kashmiris to speed up their efforts at international level and make a combined struggle from a single platform regarding the durable and lasting solution of the Kashmir issue according to the aspiration of the Kashmiri people.
He stated this while talking to his political co-ordinator for overseas Kashmiris Raja Najabat Hussain here on Saturday.
The premier said that India was deceiving the world for a long time by making false propaganda about the ongoing freedom struggle in the Indian occupied Kashmir.
He underlined the need to make concrete efforts to ensure the world that the ongoing resistance against the Indian occupation is just the freedom movement.
He urged the overseas Kashmiris to pressurise international community to persuade India to conduct plebiscite regarding their choice to which country they join, either Pakistan or India.
Political Coordinator for Overseas Kashmiris Raja Najabat informed the PM about the efforts of the overseas Kashmiris in projecting the Kashmir cause on international level.
The AJK premier lauded the efforts of overseas Kashmiris for projecting the issue internationally and added they should speed up their struggle to win more support of British and European parliamentarians, in playing their role more effectively about the Kashmir issue.
Sikander Hayat Khan condemned the use of brutal force by occupation forces against the innocent Kashmiris. He also slated New Delhi for its non-serious attitude in the dialogue process.
He asked the international community to play effective role to bar India from human rights violation in the occupied valley and force it to settle the dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiris.
Later, the political co-ordinator presented a report of the Human Rights Commission meeting, held in Geneva, to the AJK premier.
