Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif's wife Nusrat Shahbaz along with her two daughters, Jawaria Shahbaz and Rabia Shahbaz arrived here on Saturday.
Hamza Shahbaz, Salman Shahbaz, Lahore PML(N) President Haji Hanif, MPA Ch. Ghafoor, and dozens of PML(N) activists accorded a warm welcome to them.
Although the arrival of Shahbaz's family was kept secret, a large number of political workers were present at the Lahore airport.
Later, Nusrat Shahbaz left for 41-S Defence residence with Hamza Shahbaz.
Talking to newsmen, Nusrat said that she was happy to be back in the country. When she was asked that did Nawaz Sharif or Shahbaz Sharif give message for the nation, she replied that she was not able to meet Nawaz before her departure from Saudi Arabia.
It was learnt that Nusrat Shahbaz has come to Pakistan for two months to wed her daughters and settle other personal matters. President General Pervez Musharraf had permitted the Shahbaz family to come to Lahore on humanitarian grounds.
Sources in the PML claimed that the government was considering the Saudi government's request to allow Shahbaz Sharif's entry to Lahore for eight days to attend his daughters' marriages.
Jawaria Shahbaz would be wed to her first cousin Imran Yousaf in the first week of October, while Rabia Shahbaz's marriage would take place after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
