For the first time ever, Punjab University has awarded PhD degree in Library Science to Khalid Mahmood. Khalid is a lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science at the Punjab University.
During his research, Dr Khalid had developed an alternative-funding model for libraries in Pakistan. He has already written four books and contributed over 40 research papers to foreign and national journals of library and information science.
