The Bangladeshi taka ended weaker on Monday on demand for the US currency for imports of sugar and industrial raw materials, dealers said.
The taka was quoted at 59.38/59.46 per US dollar, against 59.37/59.43 on Sunday, a working day in Muslim Bangladesh.
Call rates ranged between 3.0 percent and 4.5 percent against 3.0-6.5 percent on Sunday.
