Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Tuesday appreciating the report prepared by the European Union on Kashmir issue, said that the European Parliament's report will be a great help in resolving the issue.
He was talking to a delegation of European Union, which called on him at the Prime Minister's Secretariat here.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan is an anchor of peace in the region and added that Pakistan has initiated dialogue with India to resolve the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir along with the other outstanding issues.
He expressed satisfaction over the progress of dialogue and hoped that the forthcoming meeting between President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will further accelerate the process of peace in the region.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan already enjoys good business and trade relations with European Union,
He said, "we would welcome assistance and more market access to Pakistani products to the European Union.
James Ells, Member European Parliament appreciated Pakistan's efforts for resolving Kashmir issue for the sake of peace in the region. He also appreciated the democratic process in Pakistan and commended the economic progress made during the last five years.
He said there is lot of potential f or enhancing trade and business relations between Pakistan and European Union.
He said European Union would be happy to enhance co-operation with Pakistan for further promotion of business and trade.
