The government banned publicity and sale of plots by housing societies in Islamabad Capital territory that have not been cleared to save the people from being looted and plundered by plot mafia.
It is too late to save the people from being plundered as thousands have already fallen victim to such looters. If the government is serious in protecting the lifelong savings of the people it must take the following steps immediately:
1. Publish the list of all such fake housing societies.
2. Freeze the bank accounts of the societies, their directors and their immediate family members (wife, children etc.)
3. Place all office-bearers of such societies on ECL (if they have not already absconded abroad)
4. NAB should help the victims to recover the money.
