New vision, ideas introduced in chamber: SCCI chief

Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Adeel Rauf has said that he has given a new vision to the Sarhad Chamber during his tenure as president and had introduced new targets and ideas for the protection of the interest of business community and resolution of their problems.
Addressing a dinner held in connection with the elections of the chamber here at a local hotel on Monday, he said that the business community of NWFP has full confidence in the capabilities of the leaders and members of the Businessmen Forum.
The SCCI chief said that the imposition of ban on holding industrial exhibitions, exemption in property tax, relief in district government shop rents, establishment of Industry and Trade Advisory Cell (ITAC), holding of Export Trophy Award and beautification of the building of the chamber are the measures, which had increased the prestige of both Sarhad Chamber and Businessmen Forum.
Adeel said that the Businessmen Forum had always served the cause of the business community and would continue this endeavour in future too. He attributed the unopposed election of five members of the executive committee an expression of confidence in the leadership of Businessmen Forum. He said that the efforts of the forum would continue for the betterment of the business community of the province.
