National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain has accepted the invitation of the India's Lok Sabha speaker to visit India.
The invitation was formally handed over to Chaudhry Amir Hussain by Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Shiv Shankar Menon, who called on him here on Tuesday.
Talking to Shiv Shankar Menon, the NA speaker said that bilateral visits would play vital role in normalisation of relations between the two neighbours, adding the regional co-operation was imperative to the uplift of South Asian nations.
The NA Speaker and the Indian high commissioner agreed that resolution of outstanding issues between India and Pakistan was the need of the hour.
The dates of the visit will be decided with mutual consultation. National Assembly Secretary Mahmood Salim Mahmood was also present during the meeting.
