President discusses foreign policy with envoys

President General Pervez Musharraf chaired a meeting with Pakistani envoys to review and discuss priorities of country's foreign policy with particular reference to the United States and Europe in order to make it more effective.
He expressed the hope that the envoys would perform to the best of their abilities in achieving Pakistan's foreign policy objectives.
He discussed with the envoys various aspects of the foreign policy, and also sought their suggestions for effective results.
Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri was also present at the meeting, attended by Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram, Pakistan's new envoy in Washington, General Jehangir Karamat (Retd), Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK Dr Maleeha Lodhi, and recently appointed ambassador at large Jamshed Markar.
