The boat left Karachi for fishing on Sept 18 and developed engine fault on Sept. 21.
The boat was drifting with the wind and tide since the last three days, when on Sept 24, the MSA ship located and rescued it by taking in tow to Karachi.
Furthermore, during the same voyage on Sept 24, the MSA Rehmat also apprehended four Indian fishing boats along with 26 crew members on board for fishing illegally about 70 kilometres inside Pakistan's EEZ.
The Indian fishermen have been warned time and again not to indulge in illegal fishing, but they repeatedly come in Pakistani EEZ to explore/ benefit from rich fish resources at the mouth of Indus Delta.
The apprehended fishermen will be handed over to Docks Police for further legal action.
It is the second apprehension within a week as seven Indian fishing boats, along with 44 crewmembers, were apprehended by the MSA Rehmat on September 19.
