Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri said on Friday Pakistan condemned terrorism "in all its forms and manifestations."
He was referring to the tragic Beslan killing of more than 300 people in the terrorist attacks during a meeting with his Russian Federation counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
The Pakistan Foreign Minister conveyed his condolences and sympathies with his Russian counterpart.
The two foreign ministers discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and ways and means of strengthening co-operation in "diverse fields."
Kasuri referred to the forthcoming meeting of the Inter-Governmental Commission in Moscow to give boost to bilateral economic and industrial co-operation.
He apprised his Russian counterpart of the progress in the composite dialogue with India, and reiterated Pakistan's commitment "to resolve all outstanding issues, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir."
He invited Lavrov to visit Pakistan, who accepted the invitation. The dates for the visit will be fixed through diplomatic channels.
Foreign Minister Kasuri also met Secretary General of Commonwealth Don Mckinnon, who welcomed Pakistan back to the fold of Commonwealth.
Appreciating the Commonwealth's decision, Kasuri told Don Mckinnion that Pakistan would fully participate in all activities of the organisation and play its rightful role in the Commonwealth.
The foreign minister invited the Commonwealth Secretary General to visit Pakistan.
The official announcement said that Secretary General McKinnon was expected to undertake the visit shortly.
